Day 33- Anchorage

Today was a day to hang loose and relax. We slept in late which were easy due to the clouds and slow rain all day and night. We did a Costco run and started to think about what we need to get ready to head home. The groceries are expensive in Alaska but Costco has made the prices bearable. So the freezer has food and fish- all we need till the USA! But it is still 2+weeks away.
After Melissa and Louis packed, we took a trip to downtown and visited a street fair and a few shops. Melissa wanted to find some gifts. The kids had fun looking at all the different treasures and food. Of course they settled for a hot dog and hamburger while the guys settled for reindeer brats! That’s kids.
I must say that Sal ordered crab legs and ate clam chowder on the trip. He is more daring than Gracie. We took them to the airport after a salmon dinner which was great. It was our salmon from Saturday’s trip. Boy was the camper quiet the rest of the evening!! We will miss the giggles waking us up in the morning and all the hugs!
