It was a slow and really weather day. It rained most of the day with dark clouds. We got up at 5 Am to watch the whales. It was really something else. We saw a lot of them and they gave us a show as we traveled to Petersburg. I would say that was the highlight of the day. All the ports except Wangell are a long way from town so we were encouraged to stay on the ship since we only had 45 minutes at each port. We went to bed early since we had a 3:30 AM wake up call. Next time we will make sure that we schedule a day’s visit to Petersburg, Juneau and maybe another city.
